Previous Meeting

Matt – approved mins from last meeting

Bylaws Update
Matt – shared verbiage for officer terms for Bylaws and committee chair terms. Discussion on location in document.
Matt – observed the Procedure for Proposing Amendment requires written proposal and comment period.

Matt – raised the topic of membership tiers. Previously discussed membership and wrote up proposed tiers but they were not included in final Bylaws.

Scott – will send membership tiers to Jennifer for review by the Membership Committee. After review, the Membership Committee will bring it back to the Board.

Online Platform

Matt – review of online platform SWOT.

Rufus – Google seems to have a better offering with less restrictions than Microsoft.

Breanna – concern Google may not be accessible with work devices.

Matt – does it work for Tina’s and Jennifer’s devices? Compatibility is important.

Breanna – motioned to submit for edibility for Teams, and if eligible reconsider Google.

Rufus – seconded.

Draft COI

Breanna – reviewing Standards for Excellence Institute standards, but think most items do not apply. Will share with Matt for review. 

Committee Updates

Finance

Breanna – filing through IRS, have posted in two legal journals for notification, working on bank account. Filing costs are currently $600

Matt – Kyle has acquired some domain names, incurring costs there as well. Could buy an owned domain for $2000, but probably unnecessary. 

Breanna – may want to request funding for branding/marketing as well as basic overhead costs. 

Membership

Jenn – start-up membership fee proposal of $25

All other committees – no updates

Other

Breanna - 289 NEHA members in PA.

Jennifer – any requirement to be a NEHA member for PEHA is limiting membership.
